Courses

Patterns, stitches, and style.
Your wardrobe, your way.

6-Week Beginner Course

Designed for complete beginners and those returning to sewing after a long break, this six-week course builds strong foundations in garment construction and machine confidence.

You will learn how to understand your sewing machine, read a commercial pattern, prepare fabric correctly, and construct a garment step by step with clarity and precision.

The course covers essential techniques including accurate cutting, seam construction, pressing, basic finishing methods and assembling a simple garment from start to finish.

By the end of the six weeks, you will have completed your own wearable piece and developed the confidence to continue sewing independently.

8-Week Intermediate Course

Designed for advanced beginners and sewists with intermediate experience, this eight-week course moves beyond basic construction and into understanding how garments truly fit the body.

You will learn how to read patterns with confidence and adjust commercial bodice, skirt and sleeve blocks to your own measurements – giving you greater control over proportion, balance and silhouette.

The course covers key pattern adjustments, including Full Bust Adjustment (FBA), alongside precise fabric preparation, cutting and structured garment assembly.

By the end of the eight weeks, you will have completed a full garment adapted specifically to you – and gained the knowledge to approach future projects with far more independence and confidence.

Women’s Tailored Trousers Course

Designed for sewists ready to move into structured garment drafting, this course focuses on creating a personalised women’s trouser block from scratch using your own measurements.

You will learn how to draft a well-balanced trouser foundation, forming the base for a series of considered design adaptations. From this personalised block, we will explore shaping, proportion and silhouette, alongside practical variations.

The course will also cover key construction elements including pocket styles, waistband finishes, fastening techniques and refined assembly methods associated with tailored garments.

By the end of the programme, you will have developed both a drafted trouser block unique to your measurements and the knowledge to adapt it confidently into future designs.

Full course details and dates will be released soon.
